Currently, the extent of my experience is the suggested original deforestation project. I did not fully understand the project assignment and by the time I realized my error it was too late. The intention of the project is that viewers will be able to interact with the tree objects in the scene, "cutting them down" with the chainsaw (interacting via the cardboard button), which removes them from the scene. As more and more trees are removed from the scene, animals/animal sounds in the background will decrease and the ground will become less grassy and more like tilled dirt. The educational goal is to give viewers a firsthand view of what the impacts of deforestation are.

Can't wait to see what develops this month in the SHIPyard. Some things have already been cropping up, such as this lovely vessel, the Geminon by Steve McLeod.
Chirs, AKA Ironsniper has been posting a lot of wonderful builds using the new olive green color that came out this year. His AR-7 GrassBlade is no exception. Clean lines, functional looking design elements and it fits a fig! Please go check out the rest of Ironsniper's builds, he is just as formidable a builder in other colors with limited palettes.
Febrovery had a wonderful turnout this year with builders creating 267 spacey rovers, spearheaded by its prolific founder Crimso Giger, who alone pumped out around 56 great creations. Illustrious lego fad map maker; pasukaru76, quickly posted the completed graphic which is modeled after Set #6804 Surface Rover. Congratulations to all who participated!
polywen's latest build; it's hands down the best hardsuit/spacesuit I've ever seen. The Galidor head gives a whole new scale to what would have been an excellent mecha. Go check it out now.
BNSF Line, Jupiter- (BiS) After what seems like forever for me, I'm back with (at least) one new post! And it's a zinger, an awesome Space Train by our own Jason Heltebridle. It has many striking features, such as the lustrous metal wheels, the yellow piping running along the side, and the bee-stripe insignia right near the cabin. The train itself is a tasteful combination of space elements with the look and feel of a classic Earth freighter. It also carries hints of the 10219 Maersk Train, a personal favourite of mine. Brick on, Jason!
This great microscale ship by spook (Tim Zarki) is about 5 years old, but I just now discovered it (As well as the builder). The colors look very nice to me, and I really love the antennae.
I also recommend anyone not familiar with spook's stuff to take a few minutes and look through his photostream. There's lots of other great MOCs in there as well.
So October, Ma.Ktober is upon us once again. What is that you ask? A contest that occurs every October revolving around the Machinen Krieger universe, thanks to .Tromas, who has laid out all the guidelines here.
If this year turns out anything close to what last years competition did, it'll definitely be fun to watch and/or participate in.
So forget the Halloween MOCs, spill out some bricks and get your Ma.K on!
I love odd and uniquely shaped fighters, and this fighter by Nannan Z is a great example. Not only is it round, but it also includes spikes, sawblades, and a drill (Great for up close fighting).
